Spring Clean for Breakthrough
Donation Drive for Community Threads April 27-28-29
Breakthrough is hosting our first donation drive for Community Threads non profit thrift store on April 27th, 28th and 29th, please bring your gently used donations to the ministry center parking lot, 402 N. St Louis. Breakthrough needs to contribute our share of donations to supply the store with a steady stream of quality goods to sell. We will host these donation drives at least once or twice a year so please SAVE YOUR GOOD STUFF for Breakthrough! We are counting on you.
The store is transitioning to spring and summer merchandise so please sort, organize, and spring clean your closet, apartment, condo or home, deck and garage. We are in need of gently-used and in-season clothing, furniture, house wares, accessories, shoes, children's goods, and outdoor items.
The store is upscale so please donate from your heart~ Second hand shopper Ester de Waal has good advice when reminding us that "Wealth consists not in having great possessions but in having few wants." (from A Year of Secondhand Shopping). I know I've been filling my car for Community Threads for months now and I can't tell you how nice it is to have closets that actually have capacity and are not filled to overflowing with items I no longer wear, want, or need. It is tremendously liberating to move things out of your home instead of in!

St Louis, Chicago, 60624 around back in the parking lot (approachable from the alley or Drake Ave.) where staff will be on hand to help unload.
